Point Of View: As The Caseworker

I am a caseworker at the Department of Youth Services, Spenser stopped by my office because he wanted a back around check on Major. So went he arrive at my office, i ask him to have sit so we can get right to work. I had a big manila folder open on her desk. i started by saying Major is real even though it sounds like a street handle then Spenser laughed and said oh i knew that. Major Johnson has done through a rough live, i said then Spenser said, really then i nodded and said "In his first eighteen years he was arrested thirty-eight times and in the twenty-seven months preceding his eighteenth birthday he was arrested twenty times." As Spenser was taking notes he said, "when he turned eighteen he went off the list." Then i said, he is no longer a juvenile and i also mention that he should see major's probation officer or the youth gang unit at BPD. At this point Spenser wants to get all the info he could get, so he asks, "what were the offenses?" all thirty-eight of them, i said. then he said I'm afraid i won't have the time to hear them all, but just give me a sense of it. i started listing, "drugs, intent to sell, assault, possession of burglary tools, possession of machine gun and suspicious of rape" you get the idea. Then, he asks, how much times inside. As i glanced down at the folder on my desk. Six months, i said. Then Spenser said, this Major kid is a huge case. he shook his head as he close the pad he was taking notes on, then tells that all the time i have today. So, i set up a next day appointment with Spenser to finish up the meeting.
